Career opportunities for our Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program may include employment in healthcare facilities that are always open, such as hospitals. Specialists may work evening or overnight shifts. Employment for this career track through 2019-2029 is expected to grow by 8 percent.*​

Exam Included 

For each certification, you will receive one exam voucher. For example, the Medical Assistant certification comes with three exam vouchers because the MA program prepares you for 3 Certifications. When you are ready to take an exam, you can contact CareerStep. They will email you the exam voucher and provide you with the certifying organization’s website so you can view exam locations nearest to you and schedule the exam. The vouchers expire 6 months after issuance, which is why they are not automatically sent when you complete the program. Students usually need time to prepare. Students need to request the exam vouchers within 6 months of completing the program.
